STS-41D, 1984, FLOWN "US NAVY" Flag (6x5", professionally matted and framed to 13.5x17"). The flag is framed along with a photo of the Hughes "Leasat F1" satellite at top. A descriptive plaque reads: "Flag flown on the maiden voyage of Discovery, August 30, 1984, during the launch and deployment of the first Navy Leasat."
This framed flag was displayed in the Hughes management offices in California until the office was closed about 20 years ago. It has been in the possession of a member of Hughes management since then. Probably unique and definitely fascinating.
