Armitage as a Charter member of the Senior Executive Service of the United States of America." The document has the printed signature of President Jimmy Carter and is dated 13 July, 1979. Membership in the Service was awarded only to a limited number of senior executives in the government and was finalized after a one year probationary period. A rare document and the first we have seen.
