Apollo 17, 1972, FLOWN LUNAR SURFACE United States Flag (6x4") with a copy of a typed letter, on NASA letterhead, to Ed Barker from Gene Cernan stating, in part: "This flag of our nation flew to the moon aboard the spaceships "America" and Challenger," Apollo XVII, December 6-19, 1972…". ALSO included is a copy of a handwritten note, initialed by Ed Barker, that reads, in part: "Given to me by Gene Cernan - Personal Kit - Apollo 17. In his suit while on the moon." A notarized certificate stating that both documents are genuine, is included. Rare and seldom available.
