1803 S-248 R4 Doubled Fraction Bar VG8. A couple points sharper with a small patch of verdigris at RIC. Otherwise the surfaces are decent and display only trivial marks consistent with the grade. Rather glossy steel and olive brown with lighter chocolate toning on the highpoints. The date and legends are complete and strong. Rare LDS, Breen state III, with a die crack from the dentils above M through the tops of MERI. The so-called "Mumps" break at the throat is clear.
