Lot 3657

1904 Barber Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66. CAC Approved. Nice original toning. Powerfully burning luster cascades around the surface underneath the toning with satiny, largely mar-free originality on this high-quality solid Gem '66. This is a decidedly well-struck example with good details, and unlike many Barber Halves it shows no bothersome abrasions or points of wear; did the dies leave behind a less than rigid impression of softness in the centers. The centers are fully detailed, along with the stars. Pop 5; 1 finer in 67+ (PCGS # 6498) .
Estimated Value $3,700 - 3,900.
