1827 Capped Bust Half Dollar. . O-120, R-5. NGC graded MS-65. CAC Approved. Boldly struck with lovely toning. This coin will one day be in a MS66 holder. Housed in an Old Holder. A satiny matte-like gem with resilient underlying luster and beautiful toning highlights. From center to periphery, the coin is carefully struck with just a hint of weakness at a few of the stars. Exquisite! And scarce. Most noticeable are die defect lines along the milling left of the date on this Obverse 15, which appears in O-120, O-120a, and on the extremely rare O-149. Condition Census.
