Lot 3576

1919-D. NGC graded MS-65 Red. Housed in an Old Holder. This piece displays attractive brilliant copper color over the virtually abrasion-free surfaces. All this is perhaps obvious from the photos as well as from the strict MS65 grade assigned. What we need to emphasize besides is that the strike is not customarily crisp as this issue. We report fine detail for the obverse with sharp metal flows into the deeper recesses of the die, the reverse being typically weaker. Pop 21; none finer at NGC.
Estimated Value $1,800 - 1,900.
