Lot 3212

1911-D $20 St. Gaudens. PCGS graded MS-66. Well struck with lovely golden toning. A superlative coin. The specimen offered in the present lot yields beautiful natural patina with subtle light undertones, the color really amplify the serene beauty on this issue. The design elements are better struck than average, in fact, razor-sharp, with strong relief apparent on the Capitol building, the olive branch, and on the leaves beneath the rock, for instance. Pristine surfaces. Pop 429; 7 finer in 67 (PCGS # 9158) .
Estimated Value $2,500 - 2,600.

Realized $2,990
