1856 N-14 R1 Italic 5 PCGS graded MS64 Brown. Glossy chocolate and steel brown with 15% of the mellowed mint color remaining, mostly on the reverse. There is a small spot hidden in the hair bun, a couple tiny ticks on the front edge of the neck, and another on the rim at star 12. None of these marks is significant and the eye appeal remains quite nice. MDS, die state b. Our grade is MS60+. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Pop 1; none finer at PCGS in BN.
