Lot 1227

1853 N-10 R1 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Repunched 18. Lustrous light olive brown with overtones of light bluish steel. Faded mint color covers 5% of the planchet, mostly on the obverse. No significant marks. The neck is covered with a very shallow low spot caused by debris on the die, as usual. MDS, die state b. The repunching under the bottom of the 1 and inside the top of the 8 remains visible. Our grade is MS62. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Pop 1; none finer at PCGS in BN.
