Lot 1185

1851 N-2 R1 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Lustrous light olive and steel brown with overtones of sea-green covering the obverse. Generous traces of slightly faded mint color remain on the reverse. Essentially flawless except for the nearly always present low spot that covers the neck (caused by debris on the die). A tiny, faint spot of darker toning in the field left of star 11 and a dull nick on the truncation above the 8 are the best identifying marks. LDS, die state b. Our grade is MS60+. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Pop 1; none finer at PCGS in BN.
Estimated Value $250-UP.

Realized $311
