Lewis, Sinclair (1885-1951) American Novelist, author of Main Street (1920) and Babbitt (1922), awarded the 1930 Nobel Prize for Literature. Inscribed Visiting Card Initialed. 3 x 1½", on cream card stock. With a humorous inscription which reads: "Dear S.P.B. Gee wot a dirty card -- last I have in my wallet. We're camped, mid-caravan, in a field of Mr. Upton, just to the left of the Ship Inn." Beneath this is a tiny sketched map and in the lower right "SL Fri evening June 15 7:45 pm."
