1909-D $5 Indian. NGC graded all MS-63. Unlike his other coins with a Native American motif, the Mint chose to honor real American Indian in place of some made-up Greek goddess wearing an incongruous Indian headdress. This design of 1908-1929 helped to propel American coin design into the World Class league. Lot of 4 coins (PCGS # 8514) .
