1896, $1 Silver Certificate. PCGS Extremely Fine 40. . Fr-224. . KL-38. This lovely Educational Ace came in a set of three notes, one each of the $1, $2 and $5 denominations, all three in matching grade. Like the other two notes, this piece is fully original with terrific embossing but has some very minor signs of previous mounting that kept it from the "PPQ" designation. Despite this minor flaw, which is quite trivial in nature, it is as beautiful and fresh as the day it was printed with just a few storage folds.
