Russian Program, c1960, Presentation Gift. 12.5x12.5x10") This unusual piece is engraved: "To Semen Borisovich Puzrin on his 60th Birthday from (Employees) of TseBeM (F)." This was the "Central Construction Bureau of Machine-Buildup" which worked on many top secret jobs for the Army and for Space. The top of the Globe in the center of the piece (broken/reparable) lifts off and displays a holder system for small bottles. A spacecraft circles the globe and both a viewed against a thick, starry, background. This may have been a type of mini-bar. In any case, this piece is probably unique and is definitely highly imaginative. A great classic piece for any collection.
