1853 Liberty Seated Quarter Dollar. Arrows and rays. NGC graded MS-66. Attractive rainbow toning exists on both sides. A simply superb specimen of the first year of the new seated Liberty type, after the weight reduction and the addition of arrows and rays to the types. Shimmering luster underlies the color and so propels all its hues into your field of vision. Sharply struck devices. The small handful of Gems of this type suggests that most were circulated.
