1847 N-29 R3-. NGC graded MS-64 Red & Brown. Frosty bright mint red fading to olive brown with bluish steel overtones. About 25% of the obverse shows mint color while over two-thirds of the reverse shows bright mint red. A hint of slightly darker toning shows at STA and on the lower half of the E in AMERICA. A tiny tick on the lower right point of star 12 can also help identify this cent. LDS, die state d, with fine die cracks through the reverse legend. Our grade is MS62, CC#3 for the die variety in the Grellman census.
