1847 N-26 R3. AU-58. A frosty mint state cent that has a few microscopic contact marks on the cheek, none notable or visible without the aid of a strong glass. Attractive lustrous light chocolate brown with traces of mint red showing on both sides. A microscopic speck of darker olive brown toning in the center of the cheek can help identify this cent. MDS, die state c, with several die cracks on the reverse but no rim cuds. The obverse fields are covered with microscopic lumps from very fine die erosion, as always on this variety. Removed from an NGC slab graded MS64 Brown (NGC label included).
