1847 N-22 R3+. AU-55. Lustrous chocolate and bluish steel brown with traces of mint red remaining on both sides. The only notable mark is a very faint scuff on the neck. This cent offers mint state eye appeal. Sharply struck MDS, die state c. A fine die crack connects star 8 to the dentils above and a strong crack connects the left end of the base of the 1 to a dentil below. An attractive example of this scarce die variety. Removed from an ANACS slab graded MS61BN (ANACS label included, and it shows the attribution).
