1847 N-8 R3. MS-62 Plus. Beautiful and highly lustrous bluish steel and light olive brown with at least 5% of the original mint red showing on both sides. Very close to choice. The only marks are a faint spot of reddish chocolate toning high on the neck and a couple tiny nicks at stars 12 & 13. Rare LDS, die state d, with rim cud breaks at S-O and AM, and the cuds are strong on this example. Tied for CC#5 overall but CC#2 of only 7 known with the two rim cuds.
