Lot 545

1846 N-5 R2. VF-20. Repunched Date. Rim cuds over STATE. Glossy steel and light olive, possibly lightly cleaned and retoned. The only notable marks are a few small rim nicks on the reverse. Rare LDS, die state g, with rim cud breaks at STATE. A small void in the cud shows over the first T in STATES. These rim cuds are not strong but they are outlined at the ends so the die state is easy to determine. Tied for CC#2 of no more than a half dozen known in this state.
Estimated Value $100-UP.
