1842 N-6 R1. MS-63. Large Date. Lustrous chocolate and light olive brown with generous traces of faded mint color showing through in the fields and protected areas on both sides. Nicely struck offering excellent eye appeal. The only notable defects are a couple small splashes of darker toning over star 12 and another smaller one over the coronet tip. LDS, die state d, with a tiny lump near the leaf right of the bottom of the E in ONE. This is Reiver's old #10. Tied for CC#2 of the die variety but finest of the late state.
