Lot 403

1810 S-285 R2 PCGS graded "Genuine". Turban Head. Highly lustrous olive and bluish steel brown with hints of frosty lighter brown toning in protected areas. The surfaces are flawless with just a hint of friction on the highest points of the design. This cent, as attractive as it is, may have been dipped and retoned, which would account for the "Genuine" assessment by the folks at PCGS. However, it may have been given a bath in a solvent such as "MS70" rather than cleaned and retoned. Regardless of its bathing history, this cent offers excellent luster and eye appeal. Our grade is AU50.
Estimated Value $1,500-UP.

Realized $5,280
