Clark, Tom (1899-1977) Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court (1949-67); he resigned to prevent a conflict of interest when his son, Ramsey Clark, was appointed Attorney General, a position Tom Clark had held from 1945-49. Typed Letter Signed Signed, 1 page, 10½ x 8 in., on Supreme Court letterhead, Washington, May 15, 1969. To California State Assemblyman Walter J. Karabian about a bill whose adoption he encourages Karabian to secure. The bill would permit the appearance in court of students under the supervision of lawyers. Very fine.
