Apollo 12, 1969, FLOWN Grumman Gold Tie Tac. This gold tie tac depicts the lunar surface on the face with a red, white and blue US flag to the upper left. The reverse is marked: "Flown to the Moon by the Intrepid Crew / Apollo XII / November 1969 / Conrad, Gordon, Bean". The "Intrepid" refers to the name of the Lunar Module on this flight. Only 50 of these pins were made, of which twenty five were given to the crew members. These tie tacs are almost never available. A handwritten COA from the consignor is included. A great piece of memorabilia.
Estimated Value $2,500 - 3,500.
Ex. The astronaut Richard "Dick" Gordon collection.
