Group of approximately 15 military signatures, most with rank or title and, representing much of U.S. military history; also included are two British field marshalls: John Denton Pinkstone and Francis Wallace Grenfell. Among the group are: J.A. Anderson, Joseph Hooker, Thomas Jesup, James H. Rogers, John Derby Jr., Charles A. Bele, N.C. McFarland, J.B. Montgomery, Edward R.S. Canby, John Cochrane, Sinclair Gannon, Robert B. McClure, and R. M. O'Reilly. Also in the group are signatures of Secretaries of the Navy R.W. Thompson and William H. Hunt and three letters written to Secretary of War Belknap by D.P. Dyer. Age toning and some staining; very good to fine.
