Berlin, Irving (1888-1989) American composer and lyricist. One of the greatest songwriters ever, he wrote some 1250 songs. His hits include "Alexander's Ragtime Bank," "Easter Parade," "White Christmas," "Puttin' on the Ritz," and "God Bless America." Photograph Inscribed and Signed, "To Mr. Al Langford / Sincerely / Irving Berlin / 4/15/1915," 7 x 5 in. A wonderful, sepia-toned waist-length photo of a very young Berlin, who was only 27 years old when he signed this photo. Light soiling to margins and small paper loss at upper left corner, affecting nothing. This is the earliest photograph signed by Berlin that we have ever seen.
Estimated Value $1,200 - 1,500.

Realized $2,820
