France - Anglo-Gallic. 1 Salut d'Or, ND. Fr-301; Elias-271. Saint-Lo mint. Mintmark, fleur-de-lis. Henry VI, 1422-1453. Behind shield with arms of England and France, Madonna receiving parchment with inscription "AVE" from archangel Gabriel. Reverse: Latin Cross, with fleur de lis and leopard flanking, in polylobe. Especially good style, finely struck and remarkably preserved. Rare in this condition! NGC graded MS-64.
