Egyptian Wooden Sarcophagus Fragment. Late Period to Ptolemaic Period, 664-30 B.C. Brightly painted on two sides. Side A: Woman facing left with arms raised in adoration behind a deity with a sceptor, a lotus flower before and two bearded mummiform deities facing right, the wig of a third partially preserved to the right. Side B: Two panels each with a Hathor cow reclining on the top of a shrine, each with a solar disk and plumes above horns, each with columns of heieroglyphs naming two of the Seven Hathors: 'Sister (?) of the god' (to the left: 'She whose name flourishes by means of her skill'. Height: 17¼".
