Leo I, AD 457-474. Gold Solidus (4.43 g) minted at Constantinople, c. AD 468-473. Helmeted and cuirassed bust facing of Leo, holding spear and shield. Reverse: Victory standing to left, holding long cross; in right field, star. RIC 630 [as Scarce]. We note a scratch in the left obverse field, otherwise. Nearly Extremely Fine.
