Nero Claudius Drusus, d. 9 BC. Gold Aureus (7.71 g) minted at Rome by his son, Claudius, AD 41-45. Laureate head left of Nero Claudius Drusus. Reverse: DE above and GERM on architrave of triumphal arch. RIC 69 [as Rare]; BMC 95. Obverse marks, especially noticeable at nine o'clock at edge, and bump at one o'clock. Very Fine with an excellent portrait.

Commemorates Nero Claudius Drusus' campaigns in Germany.
