1800/179 S-195 R5 Overdate 1800 over 179 with Style II Hair VF25. VF-25. Sharpness VF35 with some very light hairline scratches on the portrait and the face is covered with dark carbon. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth and quite attractive. Glossy chocolate brown delicately mottled with lighter brown toning on the reverse, the face dark steel due to the carbon dust. MDS, Breen state III. The die crack through the base of RTY extends to the rim at right, but the rim cud right of the Y has not formed. Called VF35 net VF25 and CC#3 in the Noyes census, photo #33992. The CC#1 example is in the ANS Museum. DWH #2796.
