1798 S-186 R2 Style II Hair with Small 8. Good-5. Sharpness VG8 but there is some microscopic roughness in protected areas and a few light hairline scratches on the obverse, all blended nicely with the natural glossy dark olive and steel brown patina. The only other mark is a rim bruise at the second S in STATES. The date is clear, although the bottoms of the digits gently fade into the rim, and the legends are complete. MDS, Breen state V. A small cud break below the denominator reaches the 00. A humble little cent nestled into a fabulous collection. DWH #0201.
