1808/7 C-2 R3. Good-4. Overdate 8 over 7. Slightly glossy steel brown with darker steel and olive toning in protected areas. The fields and protected areas are covered with extremely fine roughness while the devices are smooth. No verdigris, a rim nick under the right edge of the date being the only mark. The date is clear and the overdate feature is visible. The legends are complete except for S-OF, which are faint at best. EDS, before any obvious die cracks on the obverse.
