1871 Half Dollar Octagonal Liberty. Breen and Gillio-927. Low Rarity 5. PCGS graded MS-62. Both sides display golden toning with a tint of light green shades and glittering mirrorlike fields. The plate coin for the second edition of Breen-Gillio. One of the top 11 examples of this variety graded by PCGS. Variety discovered by A.C. Nygren sometime prior to 1924. Pop 6; 5 finer in 63 (PCGS # 10785) .
