1928 Hawaiian Half Dollar. ANACS graded MS-61. Nice light golden toning. Known in Hawaiian numismatic circles as the "Captain Cook Half Dollar," this piece was issued to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the arrival in the Hawaiian Islands of the English explorer, Captain James Cook in 1778 (PCGS # 9309) .
