1928 Hawaiian Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-64. Nice golden toning. An untoned frosty example with spellbinding luster and surfaces that are free from all but the most trivial luster grazes. Struck with meticulous care by the dies as well, in keeping with the consistent high quality of the Type, though nowhere near as common in this choice condition as once assumed. A coin in this condition offers greater beauty and originality than a lesser quality toned specimen (PCGS # 9309) .
