1801 S-223 R1. VG-10. Error Fraction 1/000. Rather glossy olive and steel brown. Traces of reddish verdigris show in protected areas on the obverse but the surfaces are smooth. A dull rim nick at D in UNITED is the best identifying mark. E-MDS, Breen state II. A small cud break joins the tops of RT in LIBERTY to the rim above. The date is bold and the legends are strong, including the 1/000 error fraction feature.
