Lot 92

1820/19 N-2 R2 PCGS graded MS65BN. PCGS graded MS-65 Brown. Small Overdate 20 over 19. Lustrous light bluish steel brown with slightly faded mint red covering the protected areas on both sides. Outstanding eye appeal. Both sides are covered with satiny mint frost that extends to the highest points of the design. A gem cent void of any distractions. MDS with die flowlines covering the fields on both sides, but the overdate remains easily visible, including the 9 inside the 0, which is always weaker than the 1 under the 2. Called MS65 choice and CC#1 in the Noyes census, photo #21729. Our grade is MS64+, close to MS65. PCGS Population 1; none finer.
Estimated Value $4,000-UP.
Ex Tony Terranova 5/24/84.

Realized $10,925
