1812 S-291 R2. EF-40. Turban Head. Small Date. Choice glossy medium brown and chocolate. Great eye appeal, nearly flawless. Removed from the mystical flawless classification by a few wholly insignificant contact marks, including a tick in the center of the jawline, a tiny pinprick under the O in ONE, and a small rim nick over the O in OF. A remarkably choice example of a die variety seldom found in high grade. LDS, Breen state IV. Removed from a PCGS slab graded AU55 (PCGS label included).
Estimated Value $3,000-UP.
Ex Heritage 2/07:2151.
