1797 S-121b R3-. VF-25. Reverse of 1796 with Gripped Edge. Glossy light olive and medium brown with hints of light bluish steel in protected areas. No corrosion, verdigris, or notable marks. LDS, Breen state V. The obverse is extensively cracked and the central portion is bulged outward slightly causing weakness on the ribbon and central hair details. The gripmarks on the edge are clear. Called VF25 net F15 (reason for deduction unknown) and CC#10 in the Noyes census, his photo #29556. Comes with an impressive provenance.
