1796 S-89 R3. VF-20. Liberty Cap. Sharper by at least 5 points but the surfaces are covered with extremely faint roughness visible only with the aid of a very strong glass. No verdigris. Only a few notable marks, including a small rim nick at the T in UNITED and another tiny one over the second S in STATES. Nicely struck E-MDS, Breen state II early, with minor die crumbling on the tip of the nose and on the lips. The date is bold and the legends are strong.
