1796 S-88 R4. Fine-12. Liberty Cap. Five points sharper but there are a few contact marks on otherwise smooth, choice surfaces. The notable marks are a rim bruise left of the middle curls, a smaller one under the 1 in the date, a rim nick under the 6, a nick on the bust tip, a small rim bruise over ES in STATES, and a couple tiny rim nicks under the left wreath stem. Glossy olive and steel with lighter brown toning in protected areas on the right side of the obverse. LDS, Breen state II, with a clear die crack from the rim up along the right edge of the 7 to the shoulder loop above. The date is bold and the legends are strong except for minor weakness at EN in CENT. Called VF20 net F12 and tied for CC#13 in the Noyes census, his photo #26004.
