1796 S-84 R3. VF-25. Liberty Cap. Ten points sharper with a relatively strong nick in the field near the dentils before the neck and a half dozen tiny rim bruises or rim nicks on the obverse, strongest left of the cap. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth and nearly flawless. Glossy light olive brown with steel brown toning on the highpoints. MDS, Breen state II, with a fine die crack through the top of OF to above the adjacent S. The obverse is slightly misaligned to K-6 while the reverse is well centered on the planchet. Called VF35 net VF20 and CC#22 in the Noyes census, his photo #21943.
