1835 N-18 R4+ PCGS graded AU58. PCGS graded AU-58. Head of 1834 with Small 8 and Stars. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate with darker chocolate toning on the highpoints and in the protected areas. The surfaces are smooth and offer excellent eye appeal. The only marks are a faint hairline scratch close under the bust tip, a couple tiny spots of darker toning off the chin, a nick on the bases of TE in UNITED, and a splash of very fine carbon at IC in AMERICA. EDS, the only die state known for the variety. The reverse is rotated 35 degrees CW. (I have seen the reverse rotated anywhere from 15 to 45 degrees in the clockwise direction on this variety.) Called AU50 net VF35 and CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #32002. Our grade is EF40. PCGS Population 1; none finer.
