1835 N-13 R4 PCGS graded AU58. PCGS graded AU-58. Head of 1834 with Small 8 and Stars. Frosty light golden olive and steel with satiny mint luster covering the protected areas on both sides. There are a few subtle spots of reddish chocolate toning on the chin and front edge of the neck, a small swipe of dark olive over star 5, and a diagonal nick through the C in CENT to the wreath below. MDS with a small chip defect in the right base of the 5 in the date, a small triangular lump below the 83, and an arc of impressed dentils above ONE, but the rim cud breaks at D-S and ST have not formed. Called AU50 and tied for CC#2 in the Noyes census, his photo #21382. Bland says AU50 and CC#2 by itself. Our grade is AU50. PCGS Population 2; none finer.
