1835 N-7 R1 EF40. EF-40. Head of 1836. Mint state sharpness but this piece was whizzed and is retoned a uniform light chocolate brown. No marks or other defects, and it could look great to someone not familiar with the effects of whizzing. LDS, Newcomb's old #17. The flowlines are strong, both dies are rusted, and there is annular swelling passing through all the stars. Noyes photo #55086. This was one of the mistakes in Ted's collection, but he didn't have many.
Estimated Value $100-UP.
Ex Bowers & Ruddy 11/10/72:797.
