1835 N-2 R3 PCGS graded MS64BN. PCGS graded MS-64 Brown. Head of 1834 with Small 8 and Stars. Lustrous dark bluish steel and olive with mint color covering the protected areas on both sides. No spots, stains, or notable signs of contact. The best identifying mark is a faint planchet lamination right of star 13, as struck. Nicely struck MDS with fine radial die flowlines covering the fields on both sides. The die scratch from the stem tip is gone. The always-present raised line across the cheek (from a stray line in the die) is bold. Called MS63 choice and CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #21258. Bland says MS63 and tied for finest known honors. Our grade is MS63. PCGS Population 2; none finer.
