1834 N-2 R1 PCGS graded MS63BN. PCGS graded MS-63 Brown. Small 8, Large Stars, Medium Letters. The obverse is glossy medium brown with lustrous lighter golden brown toning in protected areas. The reverse is lustrous satiny light bluish steel and sea green. The toning on both sides is attractive but the difference is striking. The only marks are a couple microscopic ticks on the cheek with a couple short hairlines in the field before the nose. E-MDS with points extending from the dentil tips from below star 13 clockwise to star 2, but the points are not as sharply defined as those on the preceding example. In addition, there is a double profile on the chin and multiple profiles (at least 4 in some places) on stars 11-13, all caused by die bounce. Called MS62 and CC#9 in the Noyes census, his photo #36414. Our grade is AU58. PCGS Population 1; 3 finer in 66BN.
