1831 N-6 R1 PCGS graded MS65BN. PCGS graded MS-65 Brown. Large Letters Reverse. Highly lustrous bluish steel with a faint hint of reddish chocolate toning around star 7 from an old fingerprint. Very faint traces of another fingerprint show in the field around stars 12 & 13 and a few tiny ticks are located on the U in UNITED. Otherwise this cent is choice and offers excellent eye appeal. LDS with a partial double profile (caused by die bounce) on the front edge of the coronet, browlock, lips, and stars 7-13. Called MS63 choice and tied for CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #27002. Bland says MS60. Our grade is MS62. PCGS Population 2; none finer.
